Over the next few weeks, I will be introducing you to several complexes located in Walnut Grove in Langley, B.C. All these complexes share a common feature: 55-plus community living. I trust that the information I provide will be useful for you or a family member contemplating a move and uncertain about the types of communities available.
Today, I am excited to introduce Chartwell Green, a 55-plus gated community containing 178 units built in 1989 by Polygon Development. The average square footage ranges from 1380 to 1600 square feet. Each unit features the master bedroom on the main floor, along with an additional 2 bedrooms above and a shared bathroom. The layout, whether the kitchen is at the front upon entrance or part of the main living area, is contingent on the square footage. Most units offer a small sitting area at the front and an open patio at the back. It's important to note that none of these units are fenced at the back, so your furry pets cannot be off-leash.
These units are thoughtfully designed for comfortable one-floor living, with the master on the main. Notable features include a gas fireplace, main floor laundry, storage, vaulted ceilings, a natural gas furnace with baseboard heat above, and, depending on size, a double or single garage all with a jacob's ladder. Additional amenities include a clubhouse, outdoor pool/hot tub, workshop, games room, R.V parking, and an on-site caretaker, an added benefit for proactive complex maintenance.
Each complex is governed by a set of bylaws applicable to all homeowners. It's crucial to review these before considering a purchase, ensuring compatibility with your preferences, including the allowance of two pets. As environmental concerns grow, many of these 55-plus complexes permit air conditioning with prior approval.
I hope you find this information helpful. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I am happy to help.
